Meet the Staff

Diane Howell is a board certified registered nurse anesthetist. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Plattsburgh State University in 1991. She finished her specialty training in anesthesia at Virginia Commonwealth University, receiving her Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia in 2000. She has served in the United States Air Force and the United States Navy, both in the Nurse Corps. Ms Howell is currently a PhD candidate in the Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Education, and holds an affiliate assistant professor position in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia at VCU. She is past president of the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and continues to serve VANA as a consultant in dental anesthesia issues.

Amy Custo is our Practice and Financial Manager. Amy graduated from Plattsburgh State University in New York with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. Amy has 15 years experience in the service industry, and spent the last 10 years in management.
Amy lives in Midlothian with her husband and two daughters. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and anything Disney!

Kendall Dance is a Pediatric Dental Assistant. Kendall graduated from Christopher Newport University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Childhood Studies. Kendall has always had a job that somehow involved working with children, and it shows when the kids are in her treatment chair! She is an excellent pediatric dental assistant who is looking forward to a career at the Center for Pediatric Dentistry and Sedation.

April Tunstall is our Patient Coordinator and she is also a trained Dental Assistant. April has been in pediatric dentistry since 2004 and has a particular strength in getting to know the kids and their parents, so that from visit to visit, the families will feel like a part of our CPDS family. April is also continuing her education in Business Administration.  She enjoys travel and spending time with her family. She is also known to always be at the latest movie premier!

Glenda Schroeder is a Pediatric Dental Assistant with over 6 years experience.  She loves to work with children and loves experiencing the uniqueness of each child.  They make her laugh and smile every day!  Glenda is also trained as a sedation recovery specialist and assists with post-operative care.  In her free time she can be

Lauren Wooten is our part time Pediatric Dental Assistant. She graduated from James Madison University in May 2010, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing . Lauren is another excellent assistant with the children. Her long term goal is to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist, and Lauren assists with surgeries at CPDS on a regular basis. Her interests include golfing and spending time at the beach.

Camy Ann Webb is our registered nurse whose specialty is pediatric recovery, or postanesthesia care. Camy assists our patients with their pre-operative and post-operative care.  She is wonderful with the children and the personal attention she gives to each child, as well as their parents, make them feel comfortable and at ease. Camy is also a trained Dental Assistant, as well as an Emergency Medical Technician-B. She works each week at the volunteer rescue squad in her community. Her and Dr. Webb just recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary!  She loves to travel when possible!

Jasmine Vargas is a Pediatric Dental Assistant.  Jasmine comes from a large family of children so naturally loves to be around children all the time.  She is wonderful at making children feel comfortable and at ease in the treatment chair.  Jasmine is recently engaged and looks forward to her plans for a spring wedding in 2012!  In her free time she loves to
